One day a couple years ago, popped into a mom and pop shop and saw this....said to shop owner that I didn't realize that Fender reissued one of my favorite models, the Pro Reverb. He said "They didn't, that's all original". Next thing you know, i am literally running to the ATM.
OK, as the story was told to me, fella graduates high school in 1966, purchased this amazing amp. Gets drafted and sent to Viet Nam, doesn't return...(tragic. thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice sir). Mom kept it covered with original Victoria cover (included in this sale) until it was sold to the shop that I saw it in. It still smells new, and the cabling has new-like elasticity.
All I did was have a 3-prong plugged installed (for safety) and a couple caps (originals included in zip lock bag) replaced as they had dried out. It has original speakers, the surrounds did not dry out because it was covered. Also, the original schematic and foot switch is in there.
Give us a ring to discuss, but i can tell you the blackface tones are just sublime. This is what all the cleans that emulate are chasing, plenty of girth when pushed.
Amazing Time Capsule. Collector Grade !
