History guitars are made by Fujigen Gakki for Shimamura Music, a large music retailer in Japan. This is an incredibly well made Strat-style guitar. The body is made of alder, while the neck is made from “Heritage Wood,” which is said to be very old wood. The fret board appears to be either ebony or a very dark, very tightly grained rosewood (looks like what we associate with ebony). The frets incorporate Fujigen’s CFS (“Circular Fret System”), which makes the frets ends glide comfortably through your hands. We're estimating the production year.
Comfortable C-shaped neck, measuring 1-11/16ths across at the nut, and 0.86” / 0.95” thick at the first and twelfth frets – so not a big baseball bat by any means. The fretboard appears to have a 10"-14" compound radius, as eye-balled with a fretboard radius gauge. High quality Wilkinson bridge, locking post Gotoh tuners. Comes with hard case shown.
Please note the minor scratches on the other edge on the back of the guitar, and a few dings on the top, probably from tremolo bar. Guitar shines up nicely though, and is in great playing condition. One of the finest playing Strats for the money that we have ever seen!
