In the pursuit of finding great Les Paul's we couldn't help ourselves after we opened the case on this stunning example. If you love real Les Paul's I'm sure you've heard of Vic DaPra and his collection of real bursts as well as his popular Burst Believers book series. Vic worked with the Gibson Custom shop to make this limited aged run of True Historic '59s with the exposed zebra and double white bridge pickup. This one has that rare flame that looks like a real '59 burst at certain angles. In 2015 Gibson would launch the True Historic series and the guitars received all new plastic components, top carve, aniline dyes, and hide glue construction. The True Historic R9's only lasted from 2015-2016 with the high street cost being the decision maker for Gibson to end this killer run. This one has all of that and a great weight. As to tone this guitar is right up there with some of the best we've had in the shop. Due to the aniline cherry red dye back color used there is also some slight binding bleed which you see on all of these True Historic models. The True Historic COA and warranty card is included, hang tags are for a historic LP but also included. The guitar will ship in the aged Lifton case used during the TH era.
