The Paul Reed Smith (PRS) Santana Retro 10 Top in Charcoal is a remarkable guitar that pays homage to the early "Pre-Factory" models Paul Reed Smith built for Carlos Santana in the early 1980s. Weighing 8 lbs, this guitar features a stunning 10 Top finish in Charcoal, highlighting its premium craftsmanship. The Santana Retro incorporates several unique design elements, including a deeper body carve, original style heel, and the original headstock shape and nut placement, blending history with modern manufacturing to create a highly musical instrument worthy of Santana himself.
This model boasts a 24-fret, 24.594” scale length neck made from one-piece mahogany, with a PRS double-acting truss rod. The neck shape is the Santana Retro, providing a comfortable and familiar feel. The rosewood fretboard features a 10" radius and iconic bird inlays, adding to its visual appeal. The guitar is equipped with PRS Phase III Locking tuners and a PRS Patented Tremolo, Gen III bridge, ensuring excellent tuning stability and smooth tremolo action. The electronics include Santana treble and bass pickups, controlled by a volume and tone knob with a 3-way toggle switch, offering a wide range of tonal possibilities.
