This one is for all of our vintage PRS fans out there a 1987 Signature #86. The top on this guitar stands out even today for its beautiful curl. Condition wise this guitar is in excellent with very little player wear. There's one super small bump by the jack plate. We have some of the history on the guitar and this particular guitar was made for an early PRS dealer Wallace Reed. It was Wallace who wanted the sweet switch upgraded to a tone pot and he had Paul install a tone pot instead of the Sweet switch. After examining the control cavity a few important details confirm this. One is the tone pot dates to 1986 just like the volume pot and the control cavity is clean with no routes. The original "blank" bottom T & B pickups are untouched and sound great. One of the advantage of having a tone pot is being able to shape the guitars tone. Another nice touch is the factory special order gold hardware. Unfortunately the gold whammy bar has gone missing somewhere along its life. All of the original paperwork and hang tags are included. There's also a letter from an early owner dated from 2000 that Paul wrote that confirms that the woods were from his private stock. The original back plate is also signed by Paul to this owner and will be included as part of the guitar's history. The Brazilian fingerboard and bird inlays are also stunning on this guitar. She'll ship in her original PRS form fit case. Any questions please let us know.
