2000 Gibson Les Paul 1959 R9 Standard Washed Cherry "Good Wood Era"

A really special Les Paul R9 from 2000 that's just got honest play wear from the original owner and is a true aged guitar. Gibson fans refer to the "Good Wood Era" as 1999-2002 and the tops that they used were sometimes amazing. This guitar has one of those tops. When we got the guitar a set of Duncan's had replaced the original '57 classics along with an RS guitar works harness. One of the knocks on these guitars were the pickups and the wiring harnesses so that's a pretty common thing for these to be upgraded. We took it a step further tone wise and installed a killer set of Gibson Custombuckers out of a 60th R9. All I can say is that once we loaded those into this bad boy it came alive!
The guitar has dings, dents, and wear around the body. It's truly broken in and I just love a guitar that feels like this. In 2000 Gibson issued no COA's for the R9's so there is none but it has it's OHSC. If you have any questions let us know.
