I remember it like yesterday when my friend Matte from Woodstock NY told me about Johan's guitars and how special they were. Little did I know how fast the market would correct his originally pricing and the first batch into Wildwood Guitars disappeared mostly to employees once they arrived. The internet was on fire once that first batch of guitars hit these shores and we see how coveted these early examples are. This near mint Gustavsson Custom '59 finished in a beautiful nitro cherry sunburst is one of those first guitars into the US market. Johan's guitar are not just works of art but are incredible instruments that are meant for someone to cherish for a lifetime.
What makes this guitar stand out from the crowd of later Bluesmaster's is the handmade wood pick guard and bridge. This guitar is currently loaded with Wolftone pickups and the original Seymour Duncan Seth Lover pickups are included with the sale. Just look at the beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard that was used on this guitar. I've had many of these guitars through my hands over the years and this one sounds absolutely amazing. The most consistent thing about Johan's guitars is that I've yet to play a Bluesmaster that I didn't like. She ships in her original case with signed hang tag.
