This 1973 Fender Stratocaster in Sunburst presents as a well-cared-for player from our personal collection. It shows light overall wear to the body and is in very good condition cosmetically. The guitar was refretted by Willie's in Minnesota (per previous owner), a shop noted for recording players, and it has a 5-way pickup selector installed in place of the original 3-way. The instrument weighs 7 lbs 10 oz and delivers a lively, full-bodied tone described as fantastic. Includes Fender Export hardcase.
The neck is a substantial slab for the period, measured at .92" at the 1st fret and .98" at the 12th fret, giving a thick, rounded feel that suits players who prefer more grip and backbone under the hand. With the refret work and the upgraded switching, this Strat is set up as a reliable studio and gig instrument while retaining its early-’70s character and feel.
