1997 Fender Telecaster Crafted in Japan CIJ TL-62 US Blonde

Just into the shop is this stellar 1997 Fender Telecaster Crafted in Japan CIJ TL62 US. These came from the factory stock with US made pickups. At some point the pots were upgraded to CTS pots.  Ships in a hard shell case.

This specific model, the TL62-US, is a 1962-style reissue. These models were highly regarded for combining the vintage aesthetic and feel of a 1960s Telecaster with practical, modern performance features. A key characteristic of the "US" designation in this series was the use of genuine Fender USA pickups, providing an authentic American vintage tone that distinguished it from lower-end Japanese models with local pickups.
