Watchtower Guitars is extremely excited about our collection of original GVCG Guitars built and aged by Jonathan Wilson.  See-thru Blonde Ash body with rosewood fingerboard and custom wound Lollars.  I really like how he was able to get the yellowing patina on this piece.  This one has that real Robben Ford & Mike Bloomfield vibe. These guitars are all tone monster's and the aging is perfect.  Enjoy!

Greenwich Village Custom Guitars (GVCG)

A guitarist, producer and songwriter of enviable talent, Jonathan Wilson has toured with Roger Waters, worked with Jackson Browne, Dawes, Father John Misty, and a host of others.  In the early days of his career, Jonathan made world class S and T style instruments under the name Greenwich Village Custom Guitars (GVCG) for himself and his friends, such as Lenny Kravitz. Logically, first in NYC, then ultimately on to CA – a move which effective rebooted the Laurel canyon sound … as per recent interview in Vintage Guitar magazine:

• “I made them out of necessity, really; I needed guitars that felt and sounded a certain way, and outside of playing a real ’62 Strat and a ’57 Telecaster, this was the only way to do it.”
• “I had a knack for making instruments sound and feel authentic, and that resonated with the players who got their hands on one.”
