This 2020 Gibson '59 Les Paul R9 60th Anniversary Wildwood Spec Tom Murphy Painted & Aged is a meticulously crafted tribute to the legendary 1959 Les Paul Standard. This model features a hand-painted Murphy Burst finish in aged nitrocellulose lacquer, emphasizing its vintage appeal with factory-applied wear and TM initials both on the aging and inside the control cavity. The body is constructed from lightweight solid mahogany with a hand-selected 2-piece figured maple top, attached using hot hide glue. Its 1-piece mahogany neck boasts a '50s rounded Tom Murphy C shape with a long neck tenon, measuring 0.89" at the 1st fret and 1.020" at the 12th, paired with a rosewood fingerboard with a 12" radius and 22 frets.

This instrument comes equipped with two Custom 'Buckers wound to Wildwood specifications, providing classic Les Paul tone with modern reliability. Controls include two volume and two tone knobs, along with a 3-way toggle switch. Hardware components are nickel, featuring an ABR-1 bridge, a lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece, and Kluson Deluxe tuners. The single-ply cream binding on the top and hand-filed rolled fingerboard binding add to the guitar’s authentic vintage aesthetics.
