The 1990s Yamaha Pacifica 1221M in vibrant Orange Sparkle is a rare find with minimal playing time and almost no fret wear, showcasing the dedication to its care and preservation. Originally a New Old Stock (NOS) discovery from a guitar store in 2014, this instrument has been well-preserved and lightly used, with only a small ding on the back of the headstock as the sole blemish. Accompanied by a non-original case this guitar retains its original charm and character, making it a valuable piece for collectors or players appreciating a well-maintained vintage instrument. Missing tremolo bar.
Weighing 7lbs 14oz, the Yamaha Pacifica 1221M is a high-end model from the renowned Pacifica series, designed under the direction of Rich Lasner. Featuring a basswood body and a Warmoth neck with a compound radius reinforced with carbon graphite rods, this guitar boasts DiMarzio pickups in an HSH configuration, providing a versatile range of tones. The "Total Access" neck joint allows for easy access to higher frets, complemented by a low-profile neck heel and a machined aluminum mating block for optimal playability. Additionally, the height-adjustable locking nut enhances tuning stability and performance. Made in Japan and assembled in Taiwan, the Yamaha Pacifica 1221M stands out with its unique maple fretboard, setting it apart from other models in the series.
